Remington Hospitality has named Ben Perelmuter CEO, succeeding Sloan Dean at the helm of the Dallas-based hotel management company, according to a Friday release obtained by Hotel Dive.
A 30-year hospitality industry veteran, Perelmuter joins Remington from TPG Hotels & Resorts, where he served as president and chief operating officer. Effective June 2, Perelmuter will take over for Dean, who announced his departure last month after holding the CEO role since 2019.
Perelmuter brings “energy, passion for hospitality, and focus on performance” to the chief executive role, according to Monty Bennett, CEO and chairman of the board for Ashford Inc., Remington’s parent company.
Before TPG Hotels & Resorts, Perelmuter had a 15-year stint at Aimbridge Hospitality, moving from general manager to division president during that time, according to his LinkedIn.
Bennett said that he is confident Perelmuter will “build on our momentum and lead the company forward with a focus on people, purpose, and profits.”
Perelmuter will work closely with Dean over the coming weeks amid the CEO transition, per the release. Dean departs after overseeing the company’s 2023 rebrand from Remington Hotels to Remington Hospitality.
“I am eager to work with this incredible team to shape the next phase of growth and am committed to building on the company’s legacy of innovation, excellence, and people-first leadership,” Perelmuter said in a statement.
Remington Hospitality manages 135 hotels in 27 states and Washington, D.C., across 33 brands.
