Omni Hotels & Resorts named Annette Bales its vice president of sales, the company announced Monday.
Bales joins Omni from Sunseeker Resort — the 785-room South Florida resort opened by budget airline Allegiant — where she served as executive director of sales, service and experience.
In her new role, Bales will develop and execute strategic plans in line with Omni’s goal of creating a “highly energized selling culture” across its portfolio, according to Omni. She will be tasked with increasing revenue through market penetration, optimizing revenue at Omni properties and ensuring sales practices align with Omni’s business objectives, the hotel company shared.
Bales is a 30-year hospitality industry veteran with 15 years of prior experience at Marriott International, where she oversaw sales management and specialized in hotel openings, strategic planning, the creation and retention of high-performing teams and brand management.
While at Marriott, Bales was recognized for her leadership with accolades, including Above Property Leader of the Year and the Chairman’s Award, Omni shared.
In recent months, Omni has announced its plans to invest $500 million in a New Orleans convention hotel. Earlier this year, the company was hit by a cyberattack that may have impacted customer information.
Omni New Haven Hotel workers recently returned to work after a four-day strike, Yale Daily News reported Monday.
