Dive Brief:
- Nobu Hotel Caesars Atlantic City will officially open on Jan. 2, 2024, at Caesars’ oceanside resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The property is now accepting reservations, Caesars Entertainment Inc. and Nobu Hospitality announced in a release.
- The 85-key boutique hotel will complement Caesars’ existing Nobu restaurant, which opened in October 2022. The two Nobu concepts are part of a larger $240 million renovation at the Caesars resort, including a new lobby and rooftop pool.
- The Nobu hotel will offer Caesars’ guests a “unique blend of luxury accommodations and culinary excellence” at a time when more travelers are seeking high-end, boutique accommodations, John Koster, regional president for Caesars Entertainment's eastern division, said in a statement. The hotel opening is part of a larger national expansion by the luxury Nobu brand.
Dive Insight:
Situated on the top three floors of the Centurion Tower at Caesars Atlantic City, the Nobu hotel will feature a mix of guest rooms and suites with “dramatic ocean views” that create a retreat-like experience for guests, the release said. Adding to this guest experience, a Caesars spokesperson told Hotel Dive, are in-room amenities, including luxury bath and skincare products, plush robes and a traditional Japanese tea service.
The opening “will position the [Atlantic City] market as a premier travel destination on the East Coast and illustrates our commitment to offering our guests an unparalleled hospitality experience,” Koster said.
Caesars’ push to enhance the experiential luxury offerings at its Atlantic City resort comes as leisure travelers are increasingly seeking experiences while on vacation and demand for luxury hotels, particularly boutique properties, is on the rise.
Caesars and Nobu have partnered in the past, including on the inaugural Nobu Hotel at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, which opened in 2013. Nobu Hospitality has a portfolio of 35 luxury hotels worldwide, and its holdings list is expanding.
The Nobu Hotel and Restaurant Caesars New Orleans, part of the multimillion-dollar redevelopment of Harrah’s New Orleans, is scheduled to open in 2024, according to the Caesars spokesperson. And in June, Nobu announced plans to open its first New York City hotel in 2026, the 145-key Plaza Athénée Nobu Hotel and Spa New York.
