Langham Hospitality Group has appointed Bob van den Oord CEO, replacing Brett Butcher, the company announced Wednesday.
Butcher, who is stepping down, will retain responsibilities within Great Eagle Holdings, which owns Langham, and will remain CEO of the Listed Langham Hospitality Investment Ltd.
Van den Oord, who currently serves as regional vice president for Europe, the Middle East and North America at Langham, will assume the CEO role on Sept. 1. He has worked at the company for 20 years, holding past titles including COO and senior vice president, sales and marketing.
As CEO, van den Oord is expected to increase Langham’s global footprint, enhance operational efficiencies and develop the guest experience through new partnerships and digital innovations, according to the company release. He is also tasked with elevating brands including The Langham Hotels & Resorts, Cordis, Eaton and Ying'nFlo.
