IHG Hotels & Resorts is expanding its Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants brand footprint, opening a new-build hotel in a lifestyle hotspot in Denver.
The 190-key Kimpton Claret Hotel, set to open in spring 2024, will anchor Denver’s Belleview Station neighborhood south of downtown. IHG is currently under construction on the luxury hotel in collaboration with DTC Hospitality Investors, developer Cypress 16 and McClurg Century Investments.
Upon opening, the hotel will feature two dining concepts and 10,000 square feet of meetings and events spaces, including an indoor/outdoor event terrace and ballroom.
The property will also provide signature Kimpton brand amenities, such as robes and yoga mats in every room, a daily social hour and the “plant pals” program, allowing guests to request live plants in their rooms.
The hotel will be the second Kimpton brand property in Denver, in addition to the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Denver in the city’s core. IHG is expanding the luxury brand to the “fast-developing” Belleview Station neighborhood to cater to the area’s “burgeoning tech scene,” the company said in a release.
“Belleview Station is a destination on the rise, and we are excited to open our doors there next year,” Keith Siebenaler, the hotel’s newly appointed general manager, said in a statement.
Siebenaler was recently tapped by Kimpton for the role. He is no stranger to the brand, having previously worked at the Kimpton Gray Hotel in Chicago and the Kimpton Schofield in Cleveland.
