Hospitality data and connectivity solutions provider Hapi has appointed Jeff Bzdawka as president, the company announced Wednesday.
Bzdawka brings more than 30 years of hospitality industry experience to the role, most recently serving as CEO of Knowland. Prior to that, Bzdawka served as senior vice president of global hotel technology at Hyatt Hotels, where he “managed the property technology roadmap” for the company’s global portfolio of more than 1,000 hotels, according to a news release from Florida-based Hapi.
Bzdawka’s experience spans job titles, too. He currently serves on the board of directors for BirchStreet Systems and Evention LLC. In 2022, he was inducted into the Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame for his leadership in technology innovation.
Bzdawka will bring his “track record of building customer and colleague-focused solutions, scaling teams, and driving growth” to Hapi’s teams and customers, according to Hapi CEO Luis Segredo.
“I am excited and honored to have such a strong, proven hospitality leader join our team,” Segredo said in a statement.
Hapi serves 7,500 hotels globally, including IHG Hotels & Resorts, Sonesta Hotels, Accor, Hyatt Hotels, Rosewood Hotels, Margaritaville and SH Hotels and Resorts.
Bzdawka joins Hapi after helping to broker Knowland’s acquisition by hospitality technology company Cendyn earlier this month. Austin, Texas-based Cendyn is run by CEO Jack Blaha.
