Chattanooga, Tennessee-based hotel development company Vision Hospitality Group broke ground Monday on the $54 million Embassy Suites Chattanooga Downtown.
The 184-suite Hilton property, located at the corner of Broad Street and 4th Street, is slated for completion in 2025. It will include Embassy Suites’ signature two-room suites and various amenities, including two bars, a coffee area in the lobby, a 24-hour fitness center and 5,000 square feet of meeting space.
The property, constructed by Humphreys and Associates Contractors, also will have a leasable restaurant space.
“This hotel will be a favorite for locals and an idyllic location for guests with its rooftop and lobby level bar in the heart of the city, enhancing the experience for anyone visiting the destination,” Mitch Patel, president and CEO of Vision Hospitality Group, said in a press release obtained by Hotel Dive.
“This project is our first Embassy Suites hotel and we know the brand’s value-added services are a perfect fit for this location welcoming both corporate and leisure travelers,” he added.
Vision Hospitality Group expects the project will help boost the local economy by creating more than 100 jobs across senior management, guest service, housekeeping and other positions.
The Embassy Suites Chattanooga Downtown is one of 15 hotels in Vision Hospitality Group’s two-year pipeline. The developer’s nationwide portfolio includes more than 40 hotels across different brands, according to its website.
