- Hospitality management company Coury Holdings expanded its portfolio with nine new hotel management agreements across California, the firm announced in a release obtained by Hotel Dive.
- Simultaneously, Coury Holdings appointed Bo Patel as chief operating officer to lead the company’s West Coast growth and operations, with a particular focus on the Concert Hospitality division, which specializes in branded full- and select-service hotels, according to the release.
- The portfolio additions help Coury Holdings build a “significant” presence in both Northern and Southern California, according to the company. Patel will drive the company’s expansion throughout the state, positioning Coury as a “dominant force in the branded hotel sector,” the company detailed in the release.

Coury Holdings added five hotels across San Diego and Palm Springs to its Concert Hospitality portfolio, which launched in July. In San Diego, the company added Hilton Garden Inn Old Town, Hampton Inn Mission Valley, Homewood Suites Mission Valley and Homewood Suites Hotel Circle, totaling 726 rooms. The company also added the 289-room DoubleTree Palm Springs.
Meanwhile, Dallas-based Coury Hospitality, the lifestyle division of Coury Holdings, assumed management of TETRA Hotel and AC Hotel Sunnyvale in Sunnyvale, California, as well as Hotel Citrine and AC Hotel Palo Alto in Palo Alto, California. Former Coury Hospitality COO Andrew Casperson is now leading Coury Hospitality as president.
With the additions, Concert Hospitality “continues its rapid expansion into key branded markets,” while Coury Hospitality “strengthens its reputation for delivering experiential, design-driven hotels,” according to Coury Holdings.
In his new role, Patel is tasked with driving strategic expansion, operational excellence and brand partnerships for Coury Holdings’ West Coast assets.
Patel brings more than two decades of experience managing commercial real estate assets, including building high-performing teams, identifying growth opportunities and driving operational efficiency, according to Coury Hospitality.
Patel previously served as CFO of Evolution Hospitality, overseeing financial aspects of the business and assisting with financial management and strategic planning. He was also previously vice president of finance at Tarsadia Hotels.
