Hotel management company Concord Hospitality appointed 30-year industry veteran Will Loughran to the role of chief operating officer.
Loughran assumes the role from Nick Kellock, who will retire in May after a more than 15-year tenure at Concord.
Loughran joins Raleigh, North Carolina-based Concord having most recently served as president and CEO at Evolution Hospitality, the lifestyle division of Aimbridge Hospitality. Before that, Loughran held leadership roles at Richfield Hospitality and Sage Hospitality Resources. He started his career at Marriott International as a sales manager, according to LinkedIn.
As COO, Loughran is tasked with ensuring that all properties under Concord management are “operating efficiently and effectively,” the management company detailed in a Tuesday statement.
Loughran is also tasked with implementing strategic plans for the brand's growth and expansion. His expertise in international markets will particularly help Concord expand its footprint in Canada, the company said.
Concord’s portfolio spans more than 140 hotels across the U.S. and Canada, including Marriott, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Hilton, Choice Hotels International and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts properties. Last month, the company announced the opening of The Westin Atlanta Gwinnett under its management.
Loughran will report directly to Concord president and CEO Mark Laport.
