Dive Brief:
- Following a $160 million renovation, Caesars Entertainment will rebrand its Harveys Lake Tahoe property along the lake’s south shore in Nevada to Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe Hotel & Casino, the resort operator announced.
- The 1.6 million-square-foot resort will see upgrades to its guest rooms, public spaces and amenities, including its food and beverage offerings, according to a release. The revamped property will feature a contemporary design with elements that “embrace the look and feel of Lake Tahoe,” per Caesars.
- Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe will “set the stage for a new era of luxury in the region,” Anthony Carano, Caesars president and chief operating officer, said in a statement. The revamp comes as Caesars prioritizes its regional segment growth, after recent openings in New Orleans and Virginia.
Dive Insight:
The multiphase renovation is already underway and will continue through summer 2026, according to Carano. The project will revamp the hotel towers, lobby, restaurants and casino.
The property’s Remus Tower, formerly the Mountain Tower, as well as the Romulus Tower, previously the Tahoe Tower, will be completely revamped, according to the release.
Additionally, the project will add a newly designed lobby bar, Cleo’s Coffee and Cocktails. Reality TV personality Lisa Vanderpump’s Wolf by Vanderpump and a recently expanded Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen, meanwhile, will anchor Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe, positioning it “as a premier destination for upscale dining and luxury experiences,” according to Caesars.
The resort’s 88,000-square-foot casino floor will also be upgraded with new carpeting, lighting, tables, chairs and digital displays. New slot machines will be added as well as a new High Limit Room and World Series of Poker Room. The resort will remain open during the renovation, according to the operator.
The project comes as Caesars focuses on its regional segment growth, opening Caesars Virginia in Danville, Virginia, and the Nobu Hotel Caesars New Orleans in recent months.
The openings boosted Caesars’ 2025 first-quarter performance results, the company reported last week. Caesars also posted solid earnings in its Las Vegas segment in Q1, despite fewer visitors coming to Sin City from Canada amid ongoing economic uncertainty.
Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe is connected via an underground connector to the adjacent Harrah’s Lake Tahoe, which is also underway on improvements.
