Accor named Claudia Kozma Kaplan chief brand officer for Raffles and Fairmont Hotels, the hotel company announced Monday.
Kaplan was previously senior vice president and global head of brand for Raffles, according to her LinkedIn. At Raffles, she led the brand’s 23-hotel global network, as well as those under development and recently opened, including the brand’s first North America location, Raffles Boston.

At Raffles, Kaplan spearheaded the brand’s “The Butler Did It” campaign, which launched in September. In her new role, Kaplan will continue her work with Raffles while also “shaping and driving the future of the Fairmont brand,” according to Accor.
Kaplan’s career spans luxury hospitality and fashion, and she has previously worked for brands including Leading Hotels of the World, The Beverly Wilshire Hotel, Société des Bains de Mer, Christian Dior and Gucci, according to Accor.
Per her LinkedIn, Kaplan’s previous roles include senior vice president and global head of marketing at Kate Spade New York and chief marketing officer at Leading Hotels of the World.
France-based Accor has been expanding its luxury and lifestyle portfolio in the U.S., and the Raffles and Fairmont brands are key to that push. Fairmont reopened a historic property in Long Beach, California, in November, and will open a hotel in New Orleans later this year.
In September, Accor tapped new brand leaders in its premium, midscale and economy division. Benoît Racle now serves as global brand president for premium hotels, while Jean-Yves Minet holds the same role for Accor’s midscale and economy brands.
